HENDERSON, NV – Tomorrow, Republican Vice Presidential Nominee and Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance will stop for campaign events in Henderson and Reno, Nevada. Ahead of those events, a coalition of progressive groups joins together to condemn his extremist positions that have no place in Nevada. Vance is just the latest tool of an extremist MAGA movement that’s out of step with everyday Nevadans,” said Shelbie Swartz, Executive Director at Battle Born Progress. “This is the same Vance who backed a national abortion ban, who backed Trump’s 2020 election lies and downplayed climate change. This is a senator who’s in the pocket of big billionaires like Peter Thiel and Big Pharma, no matter how much he tries to peddle his faux-populism. Trump and Vance’s America is one ruled by fear and driven by hate, laced with sneering contempt for everyone from the working class to, in his own words, ‘childless cat ladies.’ Voters deserve better. Nevadans deserve better.

He’s criticized solar energy even as he held stock in a solar technology company and then turned around and accepted hundreds of thousands of dollars from oil and gas-linked PACs and donors. He doesn’t care about making Nevadans’ lives better.
