Gun safety advocates present bill to keep Nevadans safe, empower businesses to help end gun violence
CARSON CITY, NV – During Wednesday’s meeting of the Nevada Assembly Committee of the Judiciary, Assemblywoman Sandra Jauregui will present a bill, AB286. The bill prohibits the sale and transfer of unfinished and unserialized firearm components (a.k.a. “ghost guns”) and gives businesses the ability to voluntarily prohibit firearms on their premises.
Jauregui, a 1 October survivor, will be joined in her presentation by representatives of Nevada’s business community, labor, and gun safety advocate organizations, including Annette Magnus, Executive Director of Battle Born Progress, who will provide supporting testimony. Spokespersons for Battle Born Progress will be available to provide additional comment to press in either English or Spanish following the hearing.
